What’s behind the design?
Every Tie Dye shirt created by me has been inspired by my life’s journey. Our journeys are all uniquely written. Colorful, Wild, Wicked. This is the inspiration inside creating each shirt. I choose not to tell my story in words, but through colors of my souls madness!
What are the steps and preparations before Tied&Dyed?
You’ll find that I have a wide selection of all men’s size shirts. Small. Medium. Large. And XL! I hope to expand with beanies, socks, sweatshirts, and more as the seasons come and go. I am a growing small business! And take pride in my work. All of my products are pre-soaked in soda-ash. Rung out by hand, and hung to dry. This is used as a color lock treatment! It helps to sustain the life of your colors. I purchase my tie dye pigments through a very reliable company called Dharma trading co. I hand mix all my color and hues for originality, as well as taking one more extra step by adding a UREA-40-0-0 agent to each dye! (Mad scientist in the house!!) This brightens the colors and gives them a ‘crisp’ appeal! Once dyed, they remain tied for an hour. I then lay them flat out on a dry surface until completely air dried! (Normally 24hrs) 🖤
I wash every single shirt before it goes to its new home! I want to insure that it’s clean and ready to be worn, just in case you want to throw it on right away 🖤
Hey 👋🏻 I’m Jordan! (Aka Wicked Nyx)
I’m happy to share a few things about myself! I’m an Ohio girl born and raised. I’ve been on this journey called life for 30 years! I’ve sat in the depths and I’ve stood on the peaks of life. I’ve associated experiences, and feelings with colors as far back as I can remember! Tie dye was not a hobby of mine growing up. We did it on occasions, but I didn’t find it to be connected to my soul source until recently. Out of boredom and needing something new to do I decided to tie dye. And here we are today. It just makes sense to me. It’s helped me in so many ways. And it’s brighten the days of people who have received a shirt from me. My purpose was never to blend in, but to be bright, to be a light for those who need it. If my friends were to describe me in three words they would be; Eccentric, Resilient, and rebellious (with a cause) and I’ve always best described myself as a “Hippie Gypsy Witchy ___ 🤭” aka -your spiritual plug-
